Emotional Health and Wellbeing

Everyone feels worried, anxious and stressed about things at some point in their life and it is normal to feel like that.

But there are times when these feelings can feel overwhelming and you need to know where you can get information, advice and support.

These pages have been set up to provide information on emotional wellbeing and mental health, with links to websites, ideas and advice on looking after yourself and where to go for support.

A good source of information and advice can be found on the YoungMinds website, the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.

Manchester Arena Incident  Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with everyone who has been affected by the tragic events in Manchester. This is an incredibly distressing time for us all and we need to support one another as much as possible.

Information for Children and Young People and Families

Following the tragic incident at the MEN Arena on the 22nd May, we recognise that many children and young people and parents/carers supporting children and young people will be shocked and saddened by what took place. Children and young people in particular may have questions and it can be difficult to know what to say.

Salford CAMHS and Emerge are offering support to any child or young person who has been effected by the incident on Monday night, the contact number for Salford CAMHS is 0161 226 7457.
