Youth Council

Welcome to Salford Youth Council......

This area will tell you all about the Youth Council, projects, campaigns and what they are getting up to along with information about joining.

Salford Youth Council aims to be the voice of young people by consulting on their issues and concerns and creating opportunities for these to be addressed in various methods such as influencing decision making, encouraging young people to speak publically about what they want/need, uniting young people from across Salford and running projects, campaigns workshops and lobbying.

In March, an election was held for young people to vote for their new Member of Youth Parliament (MYP) and Young Mayor.  Lots of young people came out to vote with Josh Baxter getting the most votes for the new MYP and Wiktoria Matuszewska stood down in her role as MYP and became the new Young Mayor, with Charlie Godfrey becoming Deputy MYP and Kayleigh Peacock taking the position of Deputy Young Mayor.

Meetings take place on:

Tuesdays 6.00pm - 8.30pm.

Normally at Eccles Youth Centre but sometimes this varies dependant on the meeting - check with Martyn beforehand.
