Support for hobbies, interests and a social life

When you finish college you may have a lot of free time, so taking part in activities or having hobbies and interests outside of the home can help you meet new people, keep fit, stay active and be happy.

There are lots of clubs and groups, some are especially for young people with additional needs and others are open to everyone.

Check out the events page on wuu2 for other activities to take part in.

YOU CAN Youth Club offers a range of different activities for young people between 11 and 25, these include sports, outdoor pursuit, performing arts as well as lots of social activities. You can call them on 0161 921 2898 to find out more.

Community centres, leisure centres, Ordsall Hall and Salford Museum and Art Gallery have regular activities and events you could go along to. Our Health Improvement Service also run activities and groups across the city that you can attend.

If you don't feel confident about going to a group by yourself, ask a friend to come with you.

Social adVenture's courses can help you build your confidence.

You can look for other activities and events on our service directory.
