Salford Foyer young parents group are doing a project with Metrolink and The Bridgewater Hall where they have written and performed a song for Langworthy tram stop!

The young parents have enjoyed being part of this project, it's something really different and out of some people's comfort zone, so it's lovely seeing young parents getting involved.

More about the project:

Metrolink is 25 years old this year, and in conjunction with The Bridgewater Hall, a soundtrack (sung, audio or spoken) will be created by community groups for each of the 93 stops around the network, celebrating each stop and reflecting the communities and people who use it. The project will be officially launched on 6th April and will culminate in a gala concert at the hall on 9th July with pop-up performances and music on tram stops on the 17th July. The project will also feature on BBC Music Day which is taking place on 9th June when at least one of the pieces of music will be created as part of their multi-platform/channel activity. BBC Radio Manchester and BBC NW Tonight are also going to get involved in the project.
